Join us for the reception of Medicina Ancestral, new works by Ruby Barrientos.

Ruby is a first-generation Salvadoran American artist born and raised in Reno, NV. They're a self-taught/independent visual artist having show in galleries and museums locally. Ruby is an artivist utilizing a unique artistic voice which they coined, Nuwave Mayan, a style that incorporates their Salvadoran Mayan ancestry and heritage in the creation of socially relevant work. Ruby's exhibits, talks, performances, public art and community involvement speak to their commitment to engaging with the public through thoughtful discussion about creating better more inclusive futures.

This body of work delves into the complexities of ancestral healing and decolonization. A journey of reflection, resilience and renewal.

There will be donation - pay what you can, micro sessions of ancestral healing work provided by @omni.lex @sawabemuhano @iamwellnessandlifestyle. All donations will be donated to @palestinesolidarityreno
